Jordan R. Turner is an associate at Brown Law Group. His practice focuses on advising, counseling, and defending companies of all sizes in matters involving labor and employment law and business litigation at the state and federal level.

 

Prior to joining Brown Law Group, Mr. Turner was a Legal Extern for the Office of the Attorney General, Employment and Administrative Mandate Section. He was also a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Magistrate Judge Jill L. Burkhardt (U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California), and a former law clerk at the San Diego firm of Procopio, Cory, Hargreaves & Savitch LLP. Prior to law school, Mr. Turner worked as an intern at the Office of the Lieutenant Governor of the State of California.

 

Mr. Turner received his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2017, where he was active in both the Black Law Students Association and the Employment and Labor Law Society. During law school, he was a CALI Excellence for the Future Award recipient, Pro Bono Legal Services Award recipient, and a San Diego County Bar Association Diversity Fellow. Mr. Turner received his B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy from the University of the Pacific in 2013.

 

During his undergraduate years, he also competed as a student-athlete on the Men’s Basketball Team for 4 years, playing in the 2013 NCAA Tournament in his senior year.
