Jasmine Berndt is an associate at Brown Law Group. Her practice focuses on employment law and related litigation at the state and federal level. Ms. Berndt brings experience litigating cases in San Diego’s state and federal courts to Brown Law Group. She has tried three cases to jury verdict, and obtained several dismissals through her motions work.

Prior to joining Brown Law Group, Ms. Berndt worked most recently as an attorney with the Law Office of Michael S. Berg, where she represented criminally accused defendants at the trial level. Her advocacy often began prior to the filing of criminal charges and extended to case resolution. Notably, Ms. Berndt has helped individuals and corporate clients defend against criminal charges based on willful violations of insurance and safety regulations, fraud and other law violations. She served on the Board of Directors for the San Diego Criminal Defense Bar Association.

During law school in San Francisco, Ms. Berndt developed an interest in employment law through participation in her school’s Workers’ Rights Clinic, and went on to intern with the Legal Aid Society – Employment Law Center (now Legal Aid at Work), where she investigated and filed wage and hour complaints, represented employees at unemployment insurance hearings, and counseled low-wage workers regarding employment-related issues.
