Armilla T. Staley-Ngomo is an Associate at Brown Law Group. Her practice focuses on employment law and general business litigation.

Prior to joining Brown Law Group, Ms. Staley-Ngomo was an Assistant Federal Public Defender in the Office of the Federal Public Defender for the Central District of California and District of Nevada, where she represented indigent criminal defendants at the trial, appellate, and post-conviction level for five years. As a federal public defender, Ms. Staley-Ngomo tried several cases to verdict, and successfully argued at numerous bail, pre- and post-indictment, motion, evidentiary, sentencing, and post-conviction hearings.

Prior to that, Ms. Staley-Ngomo worked as a litigation associate at Caldwell Leslie & Proctor, PC, a litigation boutique in Los Angeles (now Boies Schiller Flexner LLP), and Morrison & Foerster LLP, a large law firm in San Francisco, where she represented individual and corporate clients in employment, business, and general litigation matters in state and federal court. Ms. Staley-Ngomo also clerked for the Honorable Consuelo B. Marshall, U.S. District Judge for the Central District of California, from 2011-2012.

Ms. Staley-Ngomo graduated from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law in 2008. During law school, she participated in several clinical programs, including the California Asylum Representation Clinic, the Juvenile Hall Outreach Program, and the Death Penalty Clinic. She was also an editor of the California Law Review and the Berkeley Journal of African-American Law & Policy, and received the American Jurisprudence Award in Constitutional Law.

Raised in Madrid, Spain and Las Vegas, Nevada, Ms. Staley-Ngomo is fluent in Spanish. Her mother is originally from Equatorial Guinea, a small Spanish speaking country located in west Africa. In her free time, Ms. Staley-Ngomo likes to spend time at the beach, neighborhood parks, and children’s museums with her partner and their young daughter.
