Ms. Yang’s practice focuses on employment law and litigation. She handles employment matters at the state and federal level, as well as before administrative agencies such as the Merit Systems Protection Board and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.  Immediately prior to joining Brown Law Group, Ms. Yang developed expertise in labor and employment litigation and counseling as an attorney at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security – both at the Transportation Security Administration and at U.S. Customs and Border Protection.


Immediately following law school, Ms. Yang clerked for the Honorable Daniel H. Huyett, 3rd in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Following that, Ms. Yang served as a litigator at the United States Department of Justice and at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP.


Community Involvement:

Ms. Yang is an active member of the Lawyers Club of San Diego, and a past President of the Pan Asian Lawyers of San Diego. She is also a current member of the Hon. William B. Enright American Inn of Court.


Ms. Yang has extensive experience in working and volunteering for non-profit organizations, having served as President of the Board of Trustees of the Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company and as a development professional for non-profit theater companies in New York City.


Personal Interests:

Ms. Yang is married to Jose Lau, who is also an attorney and they have two children.  In her free time she enjoys having outdoor adventures with her family in beautiful San Diego.
