Experience:

Brown Law Group:

San Diego, CA
Senior Counsel, January 2020 – Present

Aimee Axelrod Parker is Senior Counsel at Brown Law Group. She specializes in partnering with businesses and management to solve problems, achieve operational objectives, reduce legal risk and exposure, and foster healthier, inclusive workplaces. After more than a decade focused exclusively on representing, defending, and advising employers of every size and caliber, Aimee is mindful that achieving optimal results requires a careful balancing of legal and business interests — and an eye on the bottom line.

Aimee advocates for companies and management in state and federal courts, arbitration proceedings, and state and federal agency investigations and hearings. She has in-depth experience defending (and settling) class and collective actions, and also has prosecuted claims to protect corporate interests and assets. She is skilled in working with individual clients, as well as Employment Practices Liability Insurance carriers.

Beyond litigation, Aimee helps employers create and implement policies and procedures; effectuate compliance with laws and policies; monitor and improve employee morale and performance; address employee complaints and demands; conduct investigations; remediate alleged wrongdoing; and provide personnel and management training. She advises on issues including recruiting, hiring, compensation, discipline, leave management, disability accommodations, terminations and reductions in force, personnel record retention and production, protecting confidential information and trade secrets, and restrictive covenants.

In addition, Aimee excels in providing workplace conduct and sexual harassment prevention training, provides attorneys with Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit in Elimination of Bias, and delivers customized training to address needs specific to industries, workplace cultures, and areas of client concern.

Prior to joining Brown Law Group, Aimee gained a breadth of experience with tenures at Littler, Jackson Lewis, and Cozen O’Connor. In her personal life, Aimee enjoys spending quality time with her son, husband, and two dogs. She enjoys yoga, hiking, gardening, visiting museums, and playing on the beach. She is a native of Southern California, and takes every opportunity to maintain her fluency in the Spanish language. Aimee is a Phi Beta Kappa honoree and, in a past life, she studied performing arts with the American Ballet Theater, Metropolitan Opera, and the late great Uta Hagen in New York City. She’s not quitting her day job.
