The Brown Law Group stays involved in the local community, finding opportunities to participate inside and outside the legal profession.

The Brown Law Group empowers each attorney to work closely with the community that fits his or her professional and personal passion. This allows individuals in the firm to feel inspired about their pro bono activities and reflect that satisfaction in their work at the firm and with clients.

Association and bar involvement

The firms’ attorneys have taken leadership and committee positions in the San Diego legal community. Founder Janice Brown is a former sponsor of the Chairman’s Roundtable. She is also a member of the Earl B. Gilliam Bar Association and the San Diego County Bar Association.

Attorney Farzeen Essa co-chairs the Diverse Women’s Task Force, a committee of the Lawyers Club of San Diego. Stacy Fode is a former member of the Board of Directors of the San Diego County Bar Association and a past president of the Lawyers Club of San Diego.

Adriana Cara is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association and the Lawyers Club of San Diego. She has also volunteered her time at the “Ask-A-Lawyer” events sponsored by the San Diego County Bar Association and the Lawyer Referral and Information Service.

Tara M. Jacobson is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association and the Lawyers Club of San Diego. Attorney Bryce Clark Besser serves on the California Western School of Law Alumni Board and is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association.
